Salt of the Earth OGM has a strong emphasis on serious, committed church membership. We believe that the calling to follow Christ is a serious commitment requiring nothing less than the surrender of one's whole life into His hands. We believe that a Christian's commitment to a church is an important opportunity to grasp hold of each other in responsibility and love. It also provides a place for believers to feel connected and to engage in corporate worship. We know there is strength in numbers and where there is unity, there is strength. Our online Ministry provides an opportunity for people to feel connected beyond the four walls no matter where they are. Why is church important? The universal Church—the Body of Christ (Romans 12:5)—is composed of all true believers in Christ, and local churches are to be microcosm of the universal Church. As believers, we have our names written in the Lamb’s book of life (Revelation 20:12), and that is what is most important. However, it is also important to commit to a local church where we can give of our resources, serve others, and be accountable.

The membership process includes:

1) a seven topic "Introduction to Salt of the Earth OGM Bible Study”

2) a questionnaire about one's spiritual history

3) an interview with the leadership staff

4) a membership contract/profile

5) the member’s induction ceremony (right hand of fellowship)

Our Four Core Values

Worship: We place much emphasis on Sunday worship, which includes the message and our singing songs to the Lord. However, Sunday worship is so much more; it is really submitting and aligning our will to the Lord. In order for that submission to take place, people must experience a revelation in their hearts. This is the kind of worship that we are seeking after.

Growth: The growth of the body is essential to the church and is largely achieved through the Bible studies used in the Small Groups. We believe that a correct understanding of the basic essentials of Christian faith, achieved through proper teaching and instruction, is critical for the development of the body of Christ.

Accountability: Every person who seeks membership at Salt of the Earth OGM is accountable to an accountability group led by a leader in the church. Thus, no member is without a mentor whom he or she is accountable to. Since Salt of the Earth OGM has always placed a heavy emphasis on the commitment to a local church, we seek to practice the principles of the confession of faith and accountability to the church by submission to church authority and discipline, which are described in Matthew 16 and 18.

Participation: We encourage people to serve the body of Christ, but believe that people need to be committed and become members of the church first. We are dedicated to raising up leaders and desire for our members to be actively participating in the five fold ministries listed in Ephesians 4:11-13.
